1. Chill out in El Nido, Palawan

This jungle beach town on the northern tip of Palawan hasn't changed much since before Spanish colonisation and has been cited as Alex Garland's The Beach. Explore the many islets of the nearby Bacuit archipelago on a boat-hopping tour, where the water so clear you can see the fish darting in between coral at 15 metres deep. Prices range from around £17-£20 per day for a tour and that usually includes lunch. There is grilled seafood is in abundance across the island.

Palawan was one of the islands in the path of Typhoon Haiyan, however it was only the city of Coron and the nearby island communities that were hit. El Nido has not suffered any damage and the surrounding coral reefs are intact, with only very shallow ones sustaining damage.

2. Shake your tail feather in Boracay

With endless beaches of powdery-white sand, long happy hours, abundance of restaurants and hotels to suit all budgets, and plenty of watersports, Boracay is the party island.

It has 12 beaches, the most popular being White beach and Bulabog. The island is divided up into "boat stations", which are used a reference points. Station One in the north is known for its high-end resorts and tranquillity; station two is the liveliest part, and station three is where all the budget accommodation can be found. While many locals look back longingly at good old days in the 70s before the hotels and restaurants started springing up, Boracay is still a Phuket in its infancy.

There was some storm damage to the island. Electricity still remains a problem for many parts of the island, but most hotels are up and running with generators.

3. See a UNESCO World Heritage sight in Banaue, North Luzon

North Luzon, the biggest island of the Philippines, is a land of misty mountains, where pines replace palm trees. Head to Banaue and Batad to admire the 2,000-year-old rice terraces etched along plunging ravines. The 20,000km UNESCO-listed terraces still provide a livelihood for the various tribal groups that continue to live in relative isolation in the mountains. Treks along the rice terraces to various villages and waterfalls can be organised through the Banaue Tourist Information Center. Expect to pay around £10 for a guide for a whole day.

4. See the curious in Bohol

Located just off Cebu, Bohol's most famous attraction is the surreal Chocolate Hills: over 1,500 mounds formed by coral deposits sculpted by a millennia of erosion. Depending on the season, they will either be green or brown. The island's famous resident is the camera-shy tarsier, the world's smallest monkey. Visit them in their protected enclosure at the Philippines Tarsier Foundation. Don't visit them in the cages kept along the river; they are mistreated and don't live long there. Either hire a motorbike or book a tour from a local company, such as Bohol Travel Tours, for around £35 with car, guide and lunch.

In October this year, the island suffered from a 7.2-magnitude earthquake, destroying many houses. Two weeks afterwards, Bohol was back on its feet, bringing in tourists as normal. The island was also hit by Typhoon Haiyan, but sustained little damage to its infrastructure. Tour operators and hotels remain fully open. The main issue being tackled by the island's authority is limited power supply, which is slowly but surely getting fixed.

5. Get off the beaten track in Camiguin Island

This pear-shaped volcanic island, just off the northern tip of Mindanao, is often bypassed because of various Islamist uprisings that have been reported on Mindanoa. However, Camiguin itself has never had any incidents and those who make the effort to travel there are rewarded with an island barely touched by tourism. For such a small landmass, this tiny island packs quite a punch, its 29,187 hectares including seven volcanoes. It also offers good diving through an eerie sunken cemetery, waterfalls, a lagoon, and hot and cold springs. All of these can be reached easily by foot, or hire a motorbike(£11 a day with a driver,£7 without).

1. Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia risk are reduced. There were studies done with light to moderate drinkers, and the results were those that drank coffee moderately which were about 3 to 4 cups a day had a significantly less chance to get Alzheimer or Dementia.

Coffee is suppose to help with endurance and also helps block out pain.Whether for exercises or video games, caffeine has proven its worth.Those that drink coffee regularly may need more as they will most likely burn out before those that do not normally drink.

4. Diabetes are reduced by almost 50 percent with a consumption of about four cups a day and each additional cup is suppose to add about another seven percent.Coffee has a component which exhibits inhibitory affect on toxic hIAPP(human islet amyloid polypeptide) formation which is found usually in the pancreas.The hIAPP is found in people with type II diabetes, it was suggested that the hIAPP is connected to the loss of insulin secretion and Beta-cells in type II diabetes.From research, each cup of coffee consumed daily will lower the risk of type 2 diabetes by 7 percent.And additional cups are supposed to stack percentages.

5. Liver Cancer and Cirrhosis, one of the products of caffeine is praxanthine, has been able to slow the growth of cell tissues in liver cancer, alcohol cirrhosis, and liver fibrosis.

สิ่งที่ได้เรียนรู้จากอาจารย์นั้นมีหลายประเด็นด้วยกันที่สามารถนำไปใช้ได้จริงในการสอนในอนาคตของดิฉัน ซึ่งในปัจจุบันมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงและพัฒนาอยู่เสมอในเรื่องของการเรียนการสอนและในฐานะที่ดิฉันกำลังจะเป็นคุณครูในอนาคตอันใกล้นี้ ดิฉันก็จะต้องพัฒนาตัวเองอยู่เสมอเพื่อให้ก้าวทันต่อยุคโลกาภิวัฒน์ ส่วนสิ่งที่ดิฉันจะวิพากษ์และประเมินประกอบ คือ การสอน และบุคลิกภาพ

การสอนของอาจารย์มีรูปแบบการสอนที่แตกต่างไปจากอาจารย์ท่านอื่นๆที่ดิฉันเคยได้เรียนมาที่ กล่าวคือ อาจารย์จะเน้นให้นักศึกษาใช้กระบวนการคิดงานด้วยตัวของนักศึกษาเอง เน้นการค้นคว้าจากสื่อต่างๆด้วยตนเอง ให้คิดด้วยตนเองก่อนแล้วอาจารย์จะคอยให้คำชี้แนะและชี้แจงทีหลัง ซึ่งวิธีการเรียนอย่างนี้ทำให้ดิฉันต้องตื่นตัวและต้องคอยกระตุ้นตัวเองตลอดเวลาถ้าไม่เช่นนั้นแล้วงานก็จะไม่เสร็จตามเวลา และทำให้ดิฉันได้ใช้สมองในการคิดมากกว่าเดิมไม่ต้องคอยความรู้จากอาจารย์อย่างเดียวเหมือนที่ผ่านๆมา นอกจากนี้แผนการสอนที่เน้นให้ผู้เรียนมีจิตสาธารณะควบคู่กับความรู้ ซึ่งเป็นสิ่งที่มีประโยชน์ต่อผู้เรียนเป็นอย่างยิ่ง ตอนแรกดิฉันเครียดมากเพราะไม่เคยเขียนแผนการสอนแบบนี้มาก่อน และไม่มีตัวอย่างว่าควรทำอย่างไร ควรจะเขียนในแนวไหนจึงจะถูก แต่เมื่อได้ปรึกษาและร่วมกันทำกับเพื่อนในห้องจึงทำให้ดิฉันสามารถทำแผนการเรียนรู้ที่เน้นจิตสาธารณะออกมาได้  ซึ่งดิฉันคิดว่าอาจารย์น่าจะมีตัวอย่างแผนการสอนที่เน้นจิตสาธารณะให้แก่นักศึกษาเพื่อเป็นแนวทางในการทำภาระงานให้ดียิ่งขึ้น แต่ดิฉันก็เข้าใจในความหวังดีของอาจารย์ที่อยากจะให้นักศึกษาได้คิดด้วยตนเองเพราะถ้าอาจารย์ให้มาดูเป็นตัวอย่างพวกเราก็จะลอกของอาจารย์มาไม่ได้คิดด้วยตนเอง

นอกจากการสอนที่ดีแล้วเรื่องบุคลิกภาพอาจารย์ก็เป็นสิ่งที่สำคัญก็ อาจารย์เป็นคนที่มีบุคลิกภาพที่ดี มีการแต่งกายที่เหมาะสมควรค่าแก่การเป็นแบบอย่างที่ดีของนักศึกษา และมีการทำตัวดีเหมาะสมกับการเป็นอาจารย์ มีความตรงต่อเวลาอย่างสม่ำเสมอ อาจารย์จะมารอนักศึกษาก่อนเสมอทุกครั้งที่มีการเรียนการสอน และอาจารย์จะแจ้ง และชี้แจงรายละเอียดทุกครั้งหากอาจารย์ไม่ได้มาสอน นอกจากนี้มีการสอนอย่างเต็มที่ เต็มความสามารถ และเต็มเวลา ซึ่งเป็นสิ่งที่แสดงให้เห็นถึงการให้ความสำคัญต่อการเรียนการสอน  ยิ่งไปกว่านั้นอาจารย์ทำตัวเป็นแบบอย่างที่ดี มีบุคลิกภาพที่ดีส่งผลให้นักศึกษามีความเชื่อมั่นในตัวอาจารย์และรวมทั้งความมีความต้องการในการมาเรียนในรายวิชานี้เป็นอย่างมาก  แต่ในบางครั้งดิฉันคิดว่าอาจารย์น่าจะลดความเคร่งขรึมลงบ้างเพราะบางทีมันทำให้ดิฉันรู้สึกเครียดและไม่มีสมาธิในการเรียนเพราะกลัวอาจารย์ค่ะ

จากสิ่งที่กล่าวมาข้างต้นนั้นสรุปได้ว่าการสอนของอาจารย์นั้นเป็นแบบอย่างที่ดี ซึ่งดิฉันคิดว่าจะนำวิธีการสอนของอาจารย์ไปใช้ในอนาคตเพราะวิธีการสอนแบบนี้ทำให้นักเรียนต้องตื่นตัวและต้องคอยกระตุ้นตัวเองตลอดเวลา และทำให้นักเรียนได้ใช้สมองในการคิดมากกว่าเดิมไม่ต้องคอยความรู้จากอาจารย์อย่างเดียว นอกจากนี้ยังทำให้นักเรียนสามารถพัฒนาศักยภาพในตัวของตนเองได้เป็นอย่างดี และในเรื่องของบุคลิกภาพนั้นดิฉันจะยึดถืออาจารย์ในการเป็นแบบอย่างทั้งการแต่งกาย การวางตัว และการตรงต่อเวลา 

สิ่งที่ได้เรียนรู้จากการเรียนรายวิชาหลักสูตรและการจัดการเรียนรู้

จากการที่ได้เรียนรายวิชาหลักสูตรและการจัดการเรียนรู้ ทำให้ดิฉันรู้ว่าการศึกษานั้นไม่ว่าระดับใดก็มุ่งเน้นการพัฒนาคนให้มีคุณลักษณะและศักยภาพที่เหมาะสมกับความต้องการของสังคม โดยมีหลักสูตรเป็นเสมือนพิมพ์เขียวในการจัดการศึกษาที่จะพัฒนาผู้เรียนไปสู่จุดมุ่งหมายที่ต้องการ อันจะส่งผลโดยตรงต่อการพัฒนาประเทศ ดังนั้นหลักสูตรจึงมีความสำคัญยิ่งต่อการจัดการศึกษาทุกระดับ ซึ่งจะกล่าวว่าหลักสูตรคือหัวใจทางการศึกษาก็คงไม่ผิด เพราะถ้าปราศจากหลักสูตรเสียแล้วการศึกษาก็ย่อมดำเนินไม่ได้ และหลักสูตรยังมีความสำคัญต่อการเรียนการสอน กล่าวคือ ถ้าหากไม่มีหลักสูตร ก็สอนไม่ได้เพราะไม่รู้จะสอนอะไร หรือถ้าจะสอนโดยคิดเอาเองก็จะเกิดความสับสน โดยที่อาจสอนซ้ำไปซ้ำมา ไม่เรียงลำดับตามที่ควรจะเป็น ผลการเรียนรู้อาจไม่เป็นไปตามที่คาดไว้ ผู้เรียนเองก็จะมีความลำบากใจเพราะไม่ทราบว่าสิ่งที่เรียนไปนั้นสามารถนำไปใช้ได้อย่างไร ฉะนั้นแล้วดิฉันในฐานะนักศึกษาครูควรจะมีความรู้ความเข้าใจในส่วนนี้ให้กระจ่าง ซึ่งจะทำให้เกิดการจัดการเรียนรู้ที่ตรงตามวัตถุประสงค์และสร้างเครื่องมือในการวัดและประเมินได้ตามตัวชี้วัดที่ต้องการสอนได้

นอกจากนี้แล้วยังทำให้ดิฉันได้รู้เกี่ยวกับการสอนที่หลากหลาย เช่นวิธีการสอนแบบ The Audio-lingual Method ซึ่งเป็นวิธีการสอนตามหลัก ภาษาศาสตร์ และวิธีการสอนตามแนวโครงสร้าง เป็นการสอนตามหลักธรรมชาติ คือ ฟัง พูด อ่าน และเขียน สอนจนครบองค์ประกอบตามลำดับจากง่ายไปหายาก                The Direct Method คือ การสอนโดยชี้ให้เห็นโครงสร้างก่อนแล้วค่อยสอนให้เห็นถึงตัวอย่าง รายละเอียดอื่นๆ  ซึ่งตรงกันข้ามกับวิธีการสอนแบบ Indirect Method ที่สอนให้เห็นถึงตัวอย่าง รายละเอียดต่างๆ ก่อนแล้วค่อยสอนให้เห็นโครงสร้าง นอกจากนี้วิธีการสอนแบบTask – based เป็นวิธีการสอนหนึ่งที่น่าสนใจ เพราะเน้นให้ผู้เรียนได้เรียนรู้จากการปฏิบัติของผู้เรียนเอง ทั้งงานเดี่ยว งานคู่และงานกลุ่มที่ร่วมมือกันทำจนได้ผลของงานและเกิดการเรียนรู้ขึ้น ซึ่งอาจารย์ได้เน้นในเรื่องของวิธีสอนแบบ Task – based ซึ่งเป็นการเรียนการสอนที่มีการจัดการเรียนรู้ที่ให้ความสำคัญในภาระงาน  และใช้ความรู้เพื่อปฏิบัติภาระงานที่ได้รับมอบหมายให้สำเร็จซึ่งในการออกแบบการสอนโดยใช้ Task based เนื้อหาที่ออกแบบจะต้องสอดคล้องกับจิตสาธารณะ

นอกจากนี้แล้วยังได้เรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับเทคนิคการสอนภาษาที่มีมากมายหลายแบบที่ช่วยกระตุ้นการเรียนรู้ของนักเรียนให้มีความอยากเรียนภาษามากยิ่งขึ้นด้วยการนำเทคนิคการสอนต่างๆมาใช้เพื่อให้นักเรียนเกิดความอยากรู้และนำไปใช้ในชีวิตประจำวันได้จริง เช่น   Role Play,  Chain Drill, Information Gap, Song, Game, Video เป็นต้น นอกจากนี้การทำงานร่วมกับผู้อื่นก็เป็นสิ่งที่สำคัญที่จะช่วยให้นักเรียนอยู่ร่วมกับคนอื่นได้อย่างมีความสุขด้วยการที่ให้นักเรียนทำงานเป็นคู่ และเป็นกลุ่ม

จากที่กล่าวมาข้างต้นนั้น สามารถสรุปได้ว่า หลักสูตรมีความสำคัญอย่างยิ่งในการจัดการศึกษาทุกระดับ หลักสูตรเป็นเครื่องกำหนดกรอบแนวปฏิบัติในการจัดการเรียนรู้ ชี้ให้เห็นแนวทางในการจัดประสบการณ์ให้กับผู้เรียน เปรียบได้กับแผนที่หรือเข็มทิศที่จะนำทางในการจัดการศึกษาให้บรรลุผล หลักสูตรที่ดีมีความเหมาะสมจะทำให้สามารถจัดการเรียนรู้ได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ นอกจากหลักสูตรที่ดีแล้วสิ่งที่ขาดไม่ได้ก็คือวิธีการสอนและเทคนิคการสอนซึ่งสิ่งเหล่านี้เป็นแนวทางในการพัฒนาผู้เรียนให้สามารถเรียนรู้ได้เท่าทันกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงของสังคมโลกในปัจจุบัน และนอกจากนี้ปัจจัยต่างๆ เหล่านี้ก็จะทำให้ผู้เรียนมีเจตนคติที่ดีต่อการเรียนภาษาและสามารถเรียนภาษาได้ดียิ่งกว่าเดิม สุดท้ายนี้ต้องขอขอบคุณอาจารย์อนิรุธ ชุมสวัสดิ์ ที่ได้ให้คำแนะนำที่ดี คอยตักเตือนในสิ่งที่ทำผิดพลาดและมอบความรู้ที่ดีเหล่านี้ให้ดิฉันได้นำไปใช้ในอนาคตต่อไป

Today, our class has presentation continued from yesterday. My friends have different techniques for present in class.

Today begins by Supawadee. She presents the topic is where is your tree? She starts the lesson by greeting students and talks to student about the content of this lesson then, she asked the student about the homework. After that, she taught vocabulary about direction such as straight, intersection, turn right, etc. Next, she opens the audio about sentence to asking and giving direction and gives student do exercise. Then, she asks students to work in pair to practice conversation and students ask the partner about direction of friend’s tree by give students have to draw the tree on the map in exercise. I think her teaching is very well because she can make students understand in the lesson and she has a good personality.

Second person is Nuchanat. She presents the topic is Making an appointment. She starts the lesson by using video. Then, she teaches necessary vocabulary that student will meet in lesson.  After that, she opens the audio about making an appointment and gives students do exercise. Next, she give the work sheet to the student and lets students to do the activity, I think her teaching is very good because the content about making an appointment we students can be found in real life                            

  Third person is Atchara, She presents the topic is Will children save the world. She begins the lesson by using video. Next, she teaches vocabulary about save the world. Then, she opens the audio and ask the questions after audio and. After that, she gives the worksheet to the students and gives students to do the activity. I think her teaching is good because she have a good personality she can teach clearly.

  The last person is Sakkarin. He present the topic is My house has. He starts his lesson by using jigsaw game. Next, he use hangman game to tech vocabulary about things in house, He uses many techniques and interesting game to teach students but he not pass because he doesn't prepare himself for teaching today.

  To sum up, today I have learnt a lot of techniques to teaching English. It can help me to develop about my teaching in real life.

                                                 Charcoal

Have you ever used charcoal for cooking? Many years ago, Thai

people used charcoal for cooking because the process of making

charcoal was very easy. People could make it by themselves. At

present, charcoal is as essential and popular as cooking stoves. It is

cheaper and safer than cooking stoves. Using charcoal for cooking

makes food more delicious and can be kept food a long time.

          In the economy recession when people have low salary, people

choose to consume cheap products. For cooking, should be used

charcoal because it is cheaper than gas and can be uses as gas

substitute. The price of charcoal is stable unlike gas which tends to be

high continuously. In the past two years, the price of charcoal was

15 baht per kilogram. Now, the price of charcoal remains constant.

On the other hand, the price of gas has raised form 20 baht to 24 baht

per kilogram. So if we use charcoal for cooking, we can save a lot of

money.

          We can easily find charcoal in market near our houses. If we do

not want to buy charcoal, we can make it by ourselves. The process of

making charcoal is very easy. Therefore, we can make charcoal with

little investment. We can make charcoal by following this process.

First of all, dig a hole as large as we would like and find some wood

to make charcoal. Secondly, put the wood into the hole and spread

some chaff on the hole. Then, bury the hole. After that, burn it for at

least 10 hours. Lastly, remove lump coal form the hole. When we

open the hole, we will see a fresh batch of pure lump coal. We can use

it for cooking.

          Besides, charcoal is safer than gas. When we use gas we have to

be careful and should not forget to turn off the stoves. Explosion is

main danger of gas that can make us and family members seriously

injure. Therefore, we should use charcoal for cooking because it can

be extinguished by itself.

          In conclusion, charcoal is better than gas especially with people

low salary. Cooking food by roasting or on a barbecue using charcoal

will be beneficial. If we use charcoal for cooking our food will taste

and smell good. Do we want to use charcoal for cooking? If our

answer is “yes” let’s do it with our next meal.
